Performance of the Greedy and Hill-climbing Algorithms To compare the effectiveness of the Greedy and Hillclimbing optimization techniques, we report results from a series of experiments in which we vary a number of parameters. Table 2 shows results for the Greedy and Hill-climbing optimization techniques using fc-mer sizes of 9, 6, and 3 individually, as well as using the scan and pool techniques to combine them.
